SAFER Applied is a three-hour, scenario-based workshop that teaches the complete SAFER framework through practice. Built around situations from your workplace, it combines instruction, paired practice, and coached demonstrations, so staff leave having rehearsed the response, not just learned it. Applied is a standalone workshop. Your team doesn't need to complete Essentials first. What's included: • The complete five-step SAFER framework • Workplace-specific scenarios, developed through a short pre-training intake • Paired practice throughout the workshop • Coached demonstrations • A final integrated scenario that brings all five steps together Ideal for teams that would benefit from rehearsing their responses to realistic workplace situations. SAFER Scenario Lab is a two-hour, facilitated team simulation designed to strengthen coordination and decision-making during challenging situations. Participants work through an evolving workplace scenario, practise their roles, and receive structured feedback. The session concludes with a team debrief and an opportunity to revisit a critical moment using what they’ve learned. Built for teams that already have a foundation in SAFER, the Scenario Lab is an ongoing way to keep developing together — run it when your team is ready, and return to it as your team changes. What's included: • An evolving scenario in three acts, built from your workplace • Team roles: Talk, Watch, Manage • Fishbowl-style participation with rotating roles • Structured feedback and a team debrief • An opportunity to retry a key moment Ideal for teams that have completed Essentials or Applied and want to keep strengthening how they work together under pressure. New to SAFER? Start with Essentials or Applied. Both teach the complete framework, and neither requires the other. Choose Essentials for a practical, shared foundation built through instruction, examples, and discussion. Choose Applied when you want staff to rehearse their responses to situations from your own workplace. Once your team has a foundation, the Scenario Lab is how you keep building — together.
